A 3rd year school of
arts student was raped, killed and found today past Veecam. She was found naked
today morning by a woman looking for her cattle in the morning in a bush. Next
to her was her bag containing her books and her clothes scattered around. Her body was covered and taken in a police
car to the student center to attract other students to the issue. The politics
began followed by riots. This led to police firing tear gas and rubber bullets
adding to the chaos. The students managed to push off the police and burnt
their car. We are now waiting for the administration’s decision on the whole
issue but with the situation in Chepkoilel we might end up following suit.
